Matthew Smith, PT, DPT

Matt's approach to physical therapy mirrors his approach to life: Matt is a teacher. He loves learning. And he loves sharing his knowledge with others.

After earning his Bachelor degree from Albertson College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho, he pursued his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at The University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. Between his studies he discovered SCUBA diving and soon became a certified SCUBA Diving Instructor. To counterbalance this warm weather sport he also volunteered during the winter as a ski instructor for a program called Ski-for-All, teaching kids with disabilities how to downhill ski.

While in Tacoma Matt met the love of his life, Samantha, also a doctorate student, and they were married one week after graduating. When looking for a place to call home Matt was drawn back to Idaho where he and Samantha have joined the RehabAuthority team.

Matt loves the Idaho outdoor life with hiking, fishing, skiing, SCUBA diving, horseback riding as well as participating and instructing (always teaching) martial arts. But his professional passion comes from working with his patients to regain, rebuild and recover so they can "Feel Good Again!".
